
Resource Adequacy Coordinator
Position Overview:
The Resource Adequacy Coordinator will be responsible for oversight, coordination, submission, and compliance of all resource adequacy (RA) requirements for OMPA. This includes managing RA submissions such as load forecasting, capacity testing, unit and outage data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agency and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) requirements. The position serves as the central liaison across departments and external entities to ensure accurate, timely, consistent, and compliant RA submissions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for all RA submissions, including load forecasting, capacity testing, outage and unit data, and related requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external groups to collect, verify, assemble, and submit data for RA submissions.
- Maintain RA timelines and ensure deadlines are met, providing communication of requirements and changes.
- Review, verify, and ensure accuracy of all submitted data, conducting quality control checks.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory or SPP changes impacting RA processes and assist with developing compliance procedures.
- Retain and manage RA data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide timely updates to OMPA management on potential deficiencies or issues with RA processes.
- Track and participate in SPP RA-related meetings and working groups, providing information to management and staff on changes and impacts.
- Conduct internal coordination meetings prior to reporting “seasons” and provide training as needed
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, accounting, or related field required.
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or training in compliance, forecasting, regulatory reporting or similar process.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – advanced; Word – intermediate; PowerPoint – intermediate).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, manuals, and present information clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels and external stakeholders.
