Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry)
EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) in Indianapolis, IN. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation and analysis of environmental chemistry samples
Wet chemistry analysis including but not limited to testing for alkalinity, pH, oxygen, ammonia, oil and grease, solids, and turbidity
Laboratory work environment requires care when handling acids, solvents, and other reagents
Generate analytical reports and enter data into the LIMS system
Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
Perform quality control practices per company Quality Assurance/Quality Control manual
Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports and answering phones
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science is required
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Commercial or academic laboratory experience
Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Available Shift:
Position is full time, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
