Assistant Party Manager

We are seeking an outgoing, fun, and personable person to join our Assistant Party & Events team! Detail-oriented, responsible, friendly/outgoing, and punctual are key attributes to this position. You will be responsible for booking reservations for kids and adult birthday parties, groups, and corporate parties/events. You'll also schedule party and event coaches and servers, coordinating each party/event with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and others on our team. Organizing important events from conception through completion, and responsible in detail for everything party-related. Soon, after your training and doing parties yourself, you will be training our new party coach staff! You'll learn how our operations works at Humdingers, including rotating staff and opening and closing, which helps you optimize your party office experience as the Assistant Party Manager. This position is the stepping stone within the party office (possibly at another location) or even within operations. This position requires working weekends and some holidays. Previous experience in birthday party booking in family entertainment or a similar environment is preferred. We work hard and play hard, and it's a fun environment to be in. We pay above the industry average. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Party Manager in the coordination of all event activities and staff scheduling
  • Greeting party parents, group contacts, and reservation booking of parties
  • Assisting the Party Manager in scheduling Party Coach staffing
  • Work with BEOs with chef and kitchen staff
  • Maintain stock of event supplies
  • Manage staff keeping everyone upbeat and working together
  • Ancillary operational duties such as opening and closing as MOD when needed, or to help with manager's vacation schedules
  • Working weekends & holidays
  • Learning all aspects of the Party Manager position for future promotion

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in birthday party booking in family entertainment or similar environment preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong ability to work well with others in all departments
  • Ability to jump in and lead by example
  • Work hours required on weekends and holidays
