Digital Media and Communications Intern

Position Summary 

The Digital Media and Communications Support Intern will design all print and digital media and marketing materials. This role is responsible for leading online engagement, including social media, website development and monitoring of blogs. The communications intern will support the nonprofit clinic’s online outreach and engagement efforts by assisting in the planning, creation, and management of content across various social media platforms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare access, community service, marketing and digital communications. The intern will help amplify the clinic’s mission, programs, and impact, increasing awareness and engagement with patients, partners, and supporters. 

Responsibilities 

● Write a social media policy for staff and organization representatives 

● Assist in planning, designing, and executing original content (graphics, text, photos, videos, infographics, reels, and press releases) for social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 

● Research and identify a social media management tool for NOELA

● Supports developing, maintaining and updating the clinic’s social media calendar and coordinating posts. 

● Monitor and engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

● Track social media engagement, analyze analytics, and prepare performance reports to identify high-performing content and inform future strategies through social media management systems. 

● Research trends, topics, and best practices in social media, healthcare, and nonprofit communications to keep content fresh and relevant. 

● Contribute creative ideas for campaigns and outreach to increase the clinic’s online presence and community engagements. 

● Support the development and execution of social media campaigns, including fundraising and awareness initiatives
