Created for upcoming Junior and Senior college students, our full-time (40 hours/week), 12-week programs are designed to provide hands-on experience within your area of interest. Description: We are seeking a creative and motivated intern to join our Marketing and Creative Services team, supporting both graphic design and digital content initiatives for KVAT Food Stores, Inc. This internship offers hands-on experience in visual storytelling, brand development, and social media strategy, making it ideal for students interested in marketing, design, or communications. As a Creative Marketing Intern, you will assist in conceptualizing and producing content for both print and digital platforms using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite. You’ll help design promotional materials, logos, illustrations, and layouts that align with brand guidelines and campaign goals. Working closely with copywriters and the Director of Creative Marketing, you’ll contribute to the development of impactful visuals and ensure consistency across all marketing channels. In addition to design work, you’ll support content creation for social media and web platforms, helping to craft engaging posts, write copy, and capture event-based content. You’ll collaborate with the marketing team to understand campaign objectives, develop strategies to grow audience engagement, and monitor performance metrics. The role also includes researching SEO trends, updating digital content, and exploring new platforms to expand brand reach. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in both creative production and strategic communication. You’ll learn how to balance visual design with messaging goals, adapt content for different audiences, and contribute to a cohesive brand presence across multiple channels. Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in graphic design, marketing, communications, or related fields. Strong design skills, attention to detail, and a passion for digital media are essential. This internship offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where you can build your portfolio and gain real-world experience in creative marketing. In addition, interns are assigned a project and expected to complete a final presentation summarizing their work and share their insights with company leaders at the conclusion of the internship.

Graphic Design Intern
Description: As a Graphic Designer intern, you will help produce engaging content that reflects our brand’s identity across print and digital media. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to design visually appealing materials that align with the company’s brand and goals. The ideal candidate is creative, has a student portfolio that reflects solid design and typography skills, and is passionate about design, storytelling, and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop original design work for print, social media, and other digital platforms
- Ensure all work follows brand guidelines
- Assist with photo and video production
Social Media Content Creator
Description: As a Social Media intern, you will support the company by creating content for our social media channels. You’ll help develop our online presence by crafting engaging posts, analyzing performance, trends and competitor activity. You’ll also ensuring that content aligns with the company’s brand voice. The ideal candidate is creative with a passion for social media and online community branding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule content for our social media channels
- Monitor engagement and track performance metrics

Ad Production Designer Intern
Description: As you launch your career as an Ad Production Designer with Food City, you will focus on creating and developing visual assets for advertising, promotion, and online presence. You will apply your creativity and design skills to generate enticing, memorable designs that align with the brand’s identity and appeal to our target demographic. This project will be focused on designing ad circular pages, digital assets and in-store signage along with proofing design work for accuracy. In addition, you will also review competitor work and look for best practice opportunities. There will also be opportunities to attend functions focusing on other areas of the marketing department (television production, store openings/visits, etc.)
Program Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university as a Junior or Senior, majoring in a relevant field of study.
- Recently graduated with an undergraduate degree and are currently majority in a relevant field of study.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA, cumulative.
- Strong portfolio of student work
- Proficient use of common design tools and software
- Have strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of company information.
- Ability to work with own initiative.
- Desire to participate and learn from the experience.
Not Required, but Encouraged:
- Previous experience in a professional work environment
- Participation in leadership roles
- Community involvement and volunteerism
