Legal Administrative Assistant
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide primary support to multiple attorneys with diverse law practices, as well as to support team as needed
- Maintain an overview of attorney workload, calendars and dockets
- Transcription from both written and digital dictation
- Draft, edit, format, proofread, revise, and redline documents in Word, Excel, and PDF formats
- Communicate with clients, prospective clients, and opposing counsel
- Run conflicts checks, prepare new client intake forms, and open files
- Assist with monthly billing processes, including processing time sheets and preparing invoices
- Provide backup receptionist support on occasion
- Assists with other related administrative duties as requested

- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and dynamic environment
- Advanced user knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook and electronic document management systems
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with local, state and federal courts’ filing systems and rules a plus
- Must demonstrate a professional approach to work, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and adaptability to the developing needs of a small office
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a related field recommended
- At least two years of related experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at desk while working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
