Business Development Engineer

Business Development Associate/Engineer - Sales & Marketing 

Reports To: Vice President of Sales & Marketing 

Location: Remote

We serve top OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the appliance, automotive, and heavy truck sectors. As we look to expand beyond our current customer base, we're searching for a driven, technically-minded professional to help uncover new markets and opportunities.

 

Position Summary

The Business Development Associate/Engineer will be responsible for identifying and engaging new customers outside of our core industries, with a strong emphasis on the fast-growing data center and server rack infrastructure market. This entry-level role will focus on market research, outreach, and lead generation to support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate is a curious problem-solver with either a business or technical foundation, and a passion for discovering new market opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research new industries and companies that align with our manufacturing capabilities
  • Identify and reach out to potential customers via email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Qualify leads and develop customer relationships 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored outreach strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and leads in CRM
  • Assist with customer meetings, proposals, presentations, and trade show preparation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Interest in manufacturing technologies and business development
  • Self-motivated, organized, and confident initiating new conversations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
  • Travel will be required

 

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Exposure to metal forming or fabrication processes
  • Experience or coursework in AI, data analysis, or digital research tools
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or technical sales
  • Knowledge of CRM
