Position Summary
The Business Development Associate/Engineer will be responsible for identifying and engaging new customers outside of our core industries, with a strong emphasis on the fast-growing data center and server rack infrastructure market. This entry-level role will focus on market research, outreach, and lead generation to support the company’s strategic growth. The ideal candidate is a curious problem-solver with either a business or technical foundation, and a passion for discovering new market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Research new industries and companies that align with our manufacturing capabilities
- Identify and reach out to potential customers via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Qualify leads and develop customer relationships
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored outreach strategies
- Maintain accurate records of activities and leads in CRM
- Assist with customer meetings, proposals, presentations, and trade show preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Interest in manufacturing technologies and business development
- Self-motivated, organized, and confident initiating new conversations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings
- Travel will be required
Preferred (Not Required)
- Exposure to metal forming or fabrication processes
- Experience or coursework in AI, data analysis, or digital research tools
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or technical sales
- Knowledge of CRM
