Applied Industrial Technologies is searching for a Recruiting Intern to focus on sourcing for open positions and supporting employer branding via social platforms. This position offers the opportunity to learn the corporate recruiting process and HR tools/systems (Applicant Tracking System [ATS], sourcing tools, social media), while growing in a great team environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

· Collaborate with other members of the Recruitment team, HR Managers and Hiring Managers to fully understand recruiting needs of the business

· Source, screen, and interview candidates for open positions

· Develop recruiting strategies designed to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools and social media

· Maintain and expand social media branding strategies

· Consistently update candidate status/disposition in ATS (Workday) to ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal and state employment laws

· Support communication and coordination with various college programs

· Assist in onboarding activities for new hires where applicable

· Contribute to various recruiting projects on an as-needed basis

· Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements

· Must be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree, HR major preferred

· Experience in customer service and/or professional environment preferred

· Technical proficiency in Outlook and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Familiarity and experience with various social media outlets (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

· Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems
