Environmental Site Assessment/Remediation Intern

The Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Intern will support the Environmental Services team by assisting with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, field data collection, environmental sampling, reporting, and regulatory documentation. This internship provides hands-on experience in environmental consulting and remediation projects, offering exposure to real-world site investigations, environmental regulations, and technical documentation. The intern will work under the supervision of a licensed environmental professional and will gain experience through a combination of office and fieldwork.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

 

  • Assist with site inspections and field data collection under supervision.
  • Support environmental sampling activities (soil, groundwater, vapor, etc.).
  • Conduct file reviews and regulatory database research for Phase I reports.
  • Assist in preparing Phase I and Phase II ESA documentation and reports.
  • Organize and analyze environmental data using spreadsheets or databases.
  • Help maintain field and sampling equipment and prepare sampling supplies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow field safety procedures.
  • Communicate observations and results clearly to project team members.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals and learning objectives.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completed coursework in environmental science, chemistry, geology, or related topics.
  • Interest in environmental consulting, site assessment, or remediation.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
