Podiatry Medical/Research Assistant

Looking for pre-medical students/gap year graduates interested in scribing for a podiatry clinic. Important skills are an enthusiasm for learning, time management, communication, hard work ethic.

Medical assistants will scribe for physicians in the room with patient's, room patients, place orders, reconcile medications and collect a medical history. We are a small business with a dozen or so employees, competent workers with an interest to learn will have many opportunities to expand their skill set. Many of our MA's learn to create orthotics, assist with wound care, create soft and hard casts, perform x-rays and ABI's, help with in-office procedures and surgeries.

Our practice is also involved in clinical research under the name Gateway Clinical Trials. MA's who show proficiency in the clinic have the opportunity to become clinical research assistants/coordinators. We have multiple ongoing trials including pain, wound, nerve, and vascular studies. Experience in clinical research will open many doors in medical school or as its own career.
