Operations Internship:
Key Criteria: Seeking a sophomore or junior actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program
Nature of Work: Support the LaPorte Operations group in designated projects including reformatting pricing pages, collecting dimensional inspection data to help develop statistically sound machine capabilities and assist Laporte's Safety Team in tracking training and maintaining training matrices.
Location: LaPorte, Indiana
Information Technology:
Key Criteria: Seeking a College or university student pursing an IT related degree pathway in application development. Basic proficiency in programming languages (preferably .NET)
- Understanding of core programming concepts
(variables, loops, conditions, functions, classes) - Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub/Azure DevOps)
- Introductory knowledge of databases
(SQL basics, tables, queries)
Nature of Work: Working with the IT application development team. Daily work may include writing and modifying code, debugging issues, assisting with application enhancements, and supporting testing activities. Additional responsibilities may include helping document technical solutions, update user or system documentation, and collaborating with business users to understand basic functional requirements.
