
Sales Agronomist Intern
As a Sales Agronomist Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in agronomic consulting, crop management, and agricultural sales. You’ll work closely with experienced agronomists and sales professionals to support growers in optimizing crop production while learning how to build strong customer relationships and deliver value through agronomic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Support & Scouting:
Assist in crop scouting, soil sampling, and pest/disease identification.
Collect and analyze field data to support agronomic recommendations.
Customer Engagement:
Shadow sales agronomists during customer visits.
Help prepare and deliver agronomic insights and product information to growers.
Sales & Marketing Support:
Participate in product demonstrations, field days, and promotional events.
Assist in preparing sales proposals and agronomic reports.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate records of field observations and customer interactions.
Use agronomic software tools to input and analyze data.
Learning & Development:
Attend training sessions on crop nutrition, protection products, and precision agriculture.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field.
Strong interest in agronomy and agricultural sales.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with crop production practices and agricultural inputs.
Basic understanding of precision agriculture tools and software.
Experience with Microsoft Office and data entry tools.
