Our Hospitality Internship Program is designed to immerse interns in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic hospitality business and give them a behind-the-scenes look into what makes a premium guest experience.
About the Internship
Our Hospitality Internship is a 3-month, paid opportunity ideal for college students, recent graduates, or young professionals pursuing careers in hospitality, events, culinary management, or customer service. Interns will rotate through three key departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry:
Wedding Coordination
- Assist with event planning and day-of coordination for weddings
- Participate in timeline development, floor plan layouts, and vendor communication
- Support guest management, setup and teardown logistics, and ceremony/reception execution
- Shadow coordinators during client walkthroughs, tastings, and rehearsals
Event Operations
- Gain exposure to a wide range of private and corporate events
- Participate in event setup, service logistics, and breakdown
- Learn about event infrastructure, team communication, and guest experience
- Work with banquet teams to manage flow, timing, and attention to detail during high-volume events
Restaurant Operations
- Train with front-of-house staff in fine and casual dining environments
- Support roles including host, expo, barback, and food runner
- Learn basic service etiquette, table management systems, and guest relations
- Observe how team collaboration ensures consistent and high-quality service
Key Learning Objectives
Understand the coordination and execution of weddings and events from start to finish
- Build strong communication and client service skills through guest interactions
- Learn the importance of time management, multitasking, and teamwork in a hospitality setting
- Observe and participate in day-to-day operations within a high-standard, fast-paced environment
- Develop a well-rounded foundation in multiple areas of the hospitality industry

Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Current college student, recent graduate, or entry-level professional (Hospitality, Business, Communications, or related fields preferred)
- Availability to work a varying schedule to include evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Positive, professional demeanor with a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and receive feedback
- Reliable transportation to and from Léal Hospitality properties located in San Benito and Santa Clara counties
- Eligible to receive college internship credit (if applicable)
