Associate Veterinarian
Hopewell Animal Hospital is a family-owned small-animal practice serving the Tri-Cities community since 1980. Our hospital has earned a reputation for compassionate, high quality care and for building long-term relationships with pets and their families.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our growing practice. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional medical care with a personal touch while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
What We Are Looking For: - Strong medical, diagnostic, and surgical skills
- Conduct thorough examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for a variety of small animals
- Prescribe medications and perform surgeries, including dental procedures - Provide emergency and critical care when needed -Educate pet owners on preventive health care, nutrition, and treatment plans - Maintain accurate medical records for all patients - Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to ensure efficient, effective patient care - Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education
Requirements: - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school - Valid state veterinary and DEA licenses - Proficiency in veterinary medicine, animal physiology, and surgical techniques - Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of aseptic procedures - Excellent communication and client-service skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases
simultaneously - Prior leadership or management experience preferred (not required)
