Summary Description of Position
As an Information & Analytics Specialist, you will help Cru connect people to Jesus by developing insights and reports from data compiled from systems containing people, financial and ministry metrics information. Our vision is to help present (in a field friendly way) the insights derived from the data we collect as a ministry. It’s our goal that our efforts would result in products that would be considered indispensable by Cru leaders and staff as they seek to lead win, build and send movements.
Skills, Abilities, Experience
High Level Aptitude/Understanding/Experience
- Demonstrated analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to organize many details, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to assimilate and apply new information rapidly
Medium Level of Aptitude/Understanding/Experience
- Experience with Google Products: Docs, Drive, Sheets, Presentations, Calendar
- Experience working in highly-collaborative as well as independent working environments
- Experience working within a team to translate broad organizational strategic plans into tactical plans
- Ability to propose plans to stakeholders
- Experience facilitating productive discussion and collaboration across teams and ministries
Basic Level of Understanding, or self-motivation to learn
- Campus Ministry activities, systems, priorities, history
- Lean start-up thinking: rapid prototyping, iterative creation-testing-modifying principles
Essential Responsibilities
- Through the analysis of both internal data (people info, financials, ministry metrics, etc) and external data (e.g., demographic data), identify trends, gaps, and bright spots that can be leveraged for growth, decision-making, process improvement, etc.
- Facilitate a culture of “leading with information” through the reporting and interpretation of ministry metrics to ministry leaders.
- Work with the Special Projects team and Human Resources to recommend improvements and development in current information systems (e.g., Connections, BigQuery, Infobase, etc) as well as the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Work with USTech Data Sciences & Analytics Team on Cru-wide projects, and collaborate as needed to avoid redundancy.
- Provide information services to the rest of the organization as needed for the fulfillment of strategic priorities and projects (e.g., work with Internal Communications to ensure accuracy of email address lists).
- Depending on interest, education, and experience, team members may specialize in a particular area (finance, ministry metrics, HR, Information systems, etc).

Additional Details
- As stated above your location is flexible and as such you will be part of a distributed team that primarily meets virtually.
- You’ll likely travel 4-5 times a year to participate in mission critical meetings as well as those events in which Information & Analytics may be involved in teaching/training staff to Lead With Information.
- We are looking to hire 2 - 3 specialists. Part-Time options will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

NOTE: This is a missionary support raising role meaning that Cru pays you from the missionary support you raise. We train and coach you well in this process. The application is open until March 1, 2026 and decisions are made thereafter. We also host a preview weekend for this role in Orlando in early February 2026.
