Event Sales Specialist
We are seeking a driven Event Sales Specialist to expand our team and grow our bookings. This role requires strong sales experience, exceptional relationship building skills, event planning experience (both wedding and corporate), willing to work a varied schedule and excited to join a fantastic team! This position will be responsible for increasing venue bookings and ensuring a seamless client experience from inquiry through the event.
Essential Functions:
- Respond promptly to inbound leads and proactively generate new sales opportunities
- Schedule and conduct venue tours and presentations for prospective couples and clients
- Communicates with clients effectively to capture their vision, gather all pertinent information, and relay how a custom rental program will accommodate their needs and wants
- Ability to sell the venue in presenting ideas/solutions to clients
- Negotiate and close contracts to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage referrals and repeat business.
- Assist as needed in preparing contracts, run sheets, floor plans and pertinent event information
- Keeps close communication with 7 Vines staff and all departments necessary
- Work with events team to ensure all events are executed effectively and successfully; analyze event's success
- Represents 7 Vines in the community, at networking events, and industry shows
- Maintain accurate sales activity, client information and forecasting
- Work in a team environment and be open to performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in sales within weddings, events, hospitality or related industry
- Proficient MS Office, Publisher, Outlook and preferably Quickbooks
- Working knowledge of all social media platforms
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Excellent communication and people skills, able to project a friendly and helpful manner at all times
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and goal-driven and must be a team player
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 8 hours a day, able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Able to perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Able to be responsive and flexible to last minute requests and work a varied schedule, weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays based on clients needs
