Internship - Supply Chain and Transportation Leadership

Internship Summary

Helping Texans is the H-E-B Way. Spend 10 weeks with us exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Supply Chain Intern. Program dates will be from June 1st – August 7th. The days and hours you’ll work will vary based on an operations schedule to include nights and/or weekend shifts.

 

H E B's manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation (MW&T) divisions support each of our retail locations, and our Supply Chain Team innovates and executes to optimize source-to-shelf operations. Providing our Customers with products they love is a big job, and the 12.1 million square feet of our distribution centers help make that possible. Our Supply Chain Partners are key to helping stock H-E-B Stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico.

  • Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Organization and time-management skills
  • Professionalism and willingness to collaborate in a team environment
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and pay attention to details
  • Have the drive to get things done
  • Are currently enrolled in an associates, bachelor’s or master’s degree program

 

Program Expectations

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be available for the entire 10 weeks
  • The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, is required

 

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Function in a fast-paced, warehouse and office environment
  • Lift 20 lbs. or more on an occasional basis
  • Work rotating schedules
