The Strategy + Transformation practice group is an interdisciplinary team composed of 4 service lines: 1) Corporate Law Department Strategy + Optimization, 2) Law Firm Strategy + Optimization, 3) Data Modernization, and 4) Information Governance + Strategic Planning (“S+T”). S+T drives client value by delivering strategic solutions to transform the business and practice of law.

Harbor is located downtown Chicago at 425 S. Financial Pl, Chicago, IL 60605. This is an onsite role with capabilities of going hybrid.

Responsibilities

As a Consultant, you will engage with like-minded colleagues who draw upon individual and collective skills, experience, ingenuity and professionalism to deliver service excellence.  An entrepreneurial spirit and positive “can-do” attitude are the common threads that unite us in our desire to drive progress and achieve success.  As a Consultant, you will contribute to these endeavors by:

  • Providing project management support and coordinating activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Utilizing judgment to anticipate project needs and appropriately respond to client requests.
  • Proactively engaging on projects to meet established expectations.
  • Working with project leads to draft deliverables and professional communications.
  • Educating yourself to understand our clients, their needs, and required deliverables.
  • Using critical thinking to analyze data, synthesize information, and otherwise contribute to solutions.
  • Supporting cross functional teams and initiatives that may extend beyond client engagements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work onsite in Chicago office.
  • Permanent US work authorization.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing, or Accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with MS Project and Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, summarize, and organize data.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Detail-oriented multi-tasker.
  • Internship or relevant work experience within a professional services firm (preferred).
  • Occasional travel may be required (domestic or international).
