Code Sensei (Instructor)

Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest growing kids coding franchise. Code Ninjas is a leading provider of coding education for children ages 7 to 14. At Code Ninjas, we believe that every child has the potential to be a tech ninja! We are looking for a friendly Code Sensei’s who will enlighten the kids and who genuinely enjoys working with children!

We are looking for a Code Sensei to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our sensei are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. 

Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.  You will mentor and guide them through our curriculum, pump them up about their achievements, and gain valuable skills that look far better on your resume.

We are looking for someone who can work 2-3 evenings per week and Saturday afternoon.

We’re also hiring to run Full Day Camps when the schools are closed. Think of fall break, holidays, spring breaks and other holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach coding concepts and principles to children using age-appropriate educational tools and resources.
  • Learn and deliver engaging and interactive coding lessons, activities, and projects that cater to the interests and abilities of students.
  • Create a fun, positive, and safe environment where students can grow.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students as they progress through their coding journey.
  • Incorporate a variety of technology-related topics and activities into the curriculum, such as robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, YouTube content creation, 3D printing, AI, and more.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in technology and coding education to continually enhance the learning experience for students.

Qualifications:

  • Must be available a minimum number of days per week of our schedule (Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday evenings & Saturday afternoon)
  • Pursuing College degree or obtained in Computer Science
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Must have reliable transportation to work.
  • Must be outgoing and have great communication skills with young children.
  • Experience with STEM activities is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time (Throughout the year)

Schedule

      Afterschool Instructor: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (4:30pm - 7:30pm), and Saturday (11:30am - 3:30pm)

Location: Opposite Dayton Mall, Dayton
