Position Overview
The Economic Development Coordinator plays a vital support role on the Chamber’s high-performing Economic Development team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is relentlessly detail-oriented, and can manage complex logistics without missing a beat. Under the guidance of the Director of Economic Development, you will coordinate meetings, maintain CRM records, deliver high-quality project documentation, and support project movement through rigorous task tracking. You’ll serve as a central point of execution for business retention and attraction efforts, from compiling proposal responses to ensuring follow-up is handled on time and with professionalism. Key Responsibilities
· Maintain up-to-date CRM (HubSpot) records for all company communication, tasks, and follow-ups.
· Schedule and prepare for business retention, attraction, and stakeholder meetings using detailed checklists and templates.
· Support committees and task forces by managing agendas, rosters, notes, and action item tracking.
· Compile detailed RFI and proposal responses by pulling and formatting data from internal teams.
· Maintain execution checklists and flag distractions that pull the team away from core mission work.
· Track project movement using project management best practices (RFIs, follow-up, site requests, deliverables).
· Keep current contact records for permitting, utilities, partners, and public agencies.
· Monitor SKYONE referral activity and ensure CRM tracking and partner reporting is complete.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public administration, or related field.
· Impeccable attention to detail with a demonstrated track record of accuracy in execution.
· Experience managing schedules, checklists, CRM records, or logistics coordination.
· Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
· Strong written communication skills and comfort working across teams in a support role.
· Able to manage multiple projects under time pressure without sacrificing quality.
