Behavior Intervention Coach

General Information

 Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (40 hours per week) Behavior Intervention Coach. Successful candidate will work as a member of the Special Education Department and will follow a 190-day calendar. This position will be based at the Willamette ESD Yamhill Center in McMinnville, OR and will begin as soon as possible upon conclusion of the selection process.

 
 

Duties, Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Behavior Intervention Coach (BIC) works to create positive behavior settings with students from grades 1 through 12 who have educational and emotional disabilities. The position is responsible for providing individual and small group skill building. The BIC must be able to collect and chart behavioral data and provide liaison services to teachers and therapists regarding student management issues, behavioral problems, and tracking. The BIC possesses knowledge and skills to perform essential functions and key responsibilities in an exemplary manner. The BIC has the experience and ability to train others in each of these areas, across settings and student populations, and helps build capacity in districts and schools.

Salary and Benefits

  • This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) Classified position represented by the Oregon School Employees Association.
  • Placement on the Willamette ESD Classified Salary Schedule Range 20, Step 1-6; ($27.80-$35.51 per hour) will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training and experience. Pay rates shown are based upon 2022-2025 classified bargaining agreement; and are subject to change based upon the outcome of new collective bargaining agreement.
