Congressional District Office Paid Internship – Full-Time Intern (CA-35, Rep. Norma Torres)

6 Weeks – Full Time (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Compensation:
$1,800 stipend for the six-week period (paid monthly)
Congresswoman Norma Torres proudly serves California's 35th Congressional District, representing communities across San Bernardino, LA, and Riverside counties. Our office is committed to delivering exceptional constituent services, advocating for the priorities of our constituents and stakeholders, and ensuring that the needs of the district are heard in Washington.
The District Office internship offers college/university students and recent grads an opportunity to work alongside congressional staff to support projects, events, and provide constituent services that directly impact our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with district-base projects and events.
- Performing intake and processing potential constituent casework.
- Supporting Field Representatives at community events.
- Providing administrative assistance, including answering phones, retrieving mail, and greeting visitors.
- Contributing to office communications and outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a community college or four-year academic institution (graduate students and recent grads are also encouraged to apply!)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Residents of California's 35th Congressional District and bilingual speakers are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Spanish speakers and Mandarin speakers preferred.
