Position: Development Administrative Assistant
Location: Hybrid (Office located in Baltimore, Maryland)
Region: New England / Mid-Atlantic
AMIT Children is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Development Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our New England and Mid-Atlantic regional operations. This role involves significant interaction with lay leadership and donors and requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage donor correspondence via phone, email, and letters
- Create and distribute thank-you letters, certificates, and greeting cards
- Provide logistical and technical support for in-person and virtual meetings
- Support registration and logistics for live events
- Process and manage payments, invoices, and receipts
- Perform accurate and timely data entry
- Prepare Excel spreadsheets and generate donor reports
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting schedules, and conference calls
- Assist with various development-related projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM database strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with Jewish community is preferred
Reporting:
This position reports directly to the Director of the New England and Mid-Atlantic Regions.
