Growth & Operations Leadership Intern

Title: Growth & Operations Leadership Intern – CHOPUTA

CHOPUTA is the first-ever fonio cereal brand, bringing an ancient African supergrain to the U.S. in a modern, nourishing breakfast experience. We’re on a mission to make breakfast better: clean, complete, and culturally rooted. As a fast-growing startup, we’re looking for a driven, mature student eager to learn, take ownership, and help us scale.

 

Role: Growth & Operations Leadership Intern
Location: Remote (U.S. based)
Commitment: 10–12 hours/week, Fall 2025 semester (with potential extension)
Compensation: $15/hour OR academic credit

 

Responsibilities

Manage emails, schedules, and admin tasks to keep the brand running smoothly.

Research grants, pitch competitions, retailer leads, and partnerships.

Track deadlines and assist with applications and follow-ups.

Draft captions, schedule posts, and monitor engagement on social media.

Support marketing activations (influencer seeding, demos, retailer communications).

Support our e-commerce expansion

Represent CHOPUTA professionally in external communications.

 

What We’re Looking For

Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (Marketing, Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or related).

Mature, organized, and proactive — thrives working independently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable with Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Passion for food, wellness, sustainability, or startups is a plus.

 

What We’re Looking For

Eligibility: Seniors or Graduate students preferred. Juniors considered only if they have prior internship or demonstrated leadership experience.

Majors: Marketing, Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or related fields.

Mature, organized, and proactive — thrives working independently.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable with Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Passion for food, wellness, sustainability, or startups is a plus.
