Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Planning Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of catering and event planning. The intern will assist with event logistics, client communications, and on-site coordination, while gaining valuable insight into catering operations and event management.
Responsibilities:
Assist event planners with day-to-day tasks, including client communication, timelines, and logistics.
Support with menu planning, rental coordination, and event design preparation.
Participate in event set-up, execution, and breakdown.
Help maintain accurate records, proposals, and event documents.
Assist in coordinating with vendors, venues, and other partners.
Contribute to creative brainstorming for décor, presentation, and guest experience.
Provide general office and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
Current student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends for events.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Internship Details & Compensation:
Part-time, 15–25 hours per week (flexible based on school schedule).

General office and marketing work is unpaid (can qualify for academic credit if applicable).
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK IN THE NASHVILLE AREA ON FRIDAYS + SATURDAYS in Fall/Spring.
Event work is paid at $25/hour.
