About the Role
As we continue to grow and diversify, we’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Specialist to join our team in Waukesha, WI. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting records for receipts and/or disbursements. Duties include performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other financial records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years' accounting experience; manufacturing accounting experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions. Enter data into computer system using defined computer programs (Epicor)
- Perform the accounts payable functions of invoicing, GL coding, and purchase order matching.
- Perform the accounts receivable functions of invoicing, collections, and aging.
- Perform account reconciliation, intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet entries, and journal entries.
- Assist with reconciling bank statements and basic payroll entry.
- Audit, process, and record expense reports.
- Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
- Support the year-end audit.
- Maintain financial databases and records via business system data entry/recording, making copies, and filing documents.
- Investigate questionable data and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
- Support business with clerical task assistance (e.g. phone calls, visitor reception, faxing, mail etc.).
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Support the organization by performing cross-functional ad hoc assignments as requested.
