Location: 85% Remote – Must reside within 40 miles of Detroit, MI
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Practice Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our multi-site radiology practice. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, physician support, and overall service excellence. The Practice Coordinator serves as a central point of contact between radiologists, administrative leadership, hospital staff, and patients, helping to streamline processes and maintain compliance across the practice.
This role is primarily remote; however, occasional onsite responsibilities (such as workstation delivery or hospital-based tasks) require candidates to live within 40 miles of Detroit, MI.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Operations
- Manage and maintain radiologists’ schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all hospital sites.
- Utilize Qgenda scheduling software to create, adjust, and troubleshoot assignments.
- Collaborate with practice leadership to address scheduling gaps, last-minute changes, and PTO requests.
Billing & Revenue Cycle Support
- Utilize MediMobile and Athena to review and resolve billing cases in a “suspended” status.
- Work denials and coordinate with hospital and billing teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Provide support for patient and hospital billing issues, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions.
Clinical & Technical Support
- Coordinate the pickup, delivery, and setup of PACS workstations for radiologists.
- Facilitate case movement and workflow within the PACS system to ensure timely reads.
- Act as a liaison with IT and PACS coordinators to troubleshoot technical issues.
Administrative & Compliance Management
- Monitor, track, and maintain records for all physician expirables (DEA registrations, medical licenses, BLS certifications, etc.).
- Order and distribute supplies such as lab coats and office essentials.
- Oversee RadPeer reporting and statistics, preparing summaries for practice leadership and quality reviews.
- Assist with document gathering and tracking for credentialing processes across multiple hospitals.
Practice Support & Special Projects
- Provide high-level administrative support to practice leadership and physicians.
- Assist with operational projects, process improvement initiatives, and compliance audits.
- Perform occasional onsite duties, including hospital visits, equipment transport, and coordination with clinical teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field.
- Prior experience in healthcare operations, medical practice management, or radiology.
- Familiarity with PACS systems and/or radiology workflows.
- Experience with Qgenda, MediMobile, Athena or similar scheduling software.
