Junior Design Intern

Location: Dumbo, NYC (hybrid preferred, remote considered)

TUSHY (hellotushy.com) is on the hunt for a Junior Design Intern who’s ready to flex their creative muscles and help us make butts (and the world) cleaner. You’ll be working across a range of design projects with a strong focus on socially native video editing for performance social creative and seasonal campaigns. You’ll also support website updates, packaging, email marketing, and organic social to keep our visuals looking fresh, fun, and consistent.

What you’ll do:

  • Ideate and design performance social ads that grab attention and drive results
  • Create quick, creative mashups from our existing video library for platform-specific performance
  • Develop visuals for seasonal campaigns and product launches, ensuring alignment across channels
  • Support website updates with on-brand designs that uphold UI/UX principles
  • Contribute to packaging design that reflects our brand identity
  • Design assets for email marketing and organic social

What you’ll bring

  • Need-to-have: Fluency in CapCut (our go-to for social-first video edits) and Figma (our design mothership)
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator for packaging design
  • Social native fluency with an understanding of fast-moving social ad trends
  • Understanding of classic design principles including grids, hierarchy, layout, and typography
  • Proactivity, detail-orientation, and a strategic mindset
  • Bonus points if you have skills in content creation, photography, and/or motion graphics

The vibe!

  • Our design team sits in Dumbo, NYC. Preference for someone who can join us in the office 1–3 days per week so we can collaborate IRL (and grab tacos together). But if you’re the perfect fit and remote, we’re open.
  • You’ll be part of a scrappy, creative, slightly potty-humored team that loves making work that’s as effective as it is entertaining.
  • This is a paid internship — hours and compensation to be discussed (but compensation will cap at ~$1000/month)
