
Meeting and Event Planner / Operations Manager
ABOUT THE ROLE
Location: Remote; involves regular travel to trip destinations
Are you an experienced event planner looking to take your career to the next level?
Morley is seeking a remote Meeting and Event Planner / Operations Manager to join its award-winning Meetings & Incentives team.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of planning and operating business meetings, events and incentive programs, serving corporate Fortune 500 and luxury brand clients.
You’ll support Program Managers and Program Coordinators (PMs / PCs) and will work closely with our sales team to ensure seamless client experiences from start to finish. Your expertise will drive the success of our programs while maintaining consistency and compliance throughout the process.
What You'll Do

New leads:
- Work with the sales team on lead specifications, budget development and space management, including qualifying, holding, client presentations and contracting
- Conduct final budget reviews alongside account management to ensure financial accuracy
- Weekly tasks: Staffing requests; review budgets and checklists

Program development:
- Provide operational support (program supervision) to the PM / PC and help develop and implement processes to ensure the program’s success
- Ensure consistency and compliance with the client group from sales through billing
- Liaise with account management, vendors and the client contact as directed
- Manage client expectations by communicating proactively and effectively
- Coordinate with internal business units on services provided by our various teams
- Travel on-site to domestic or international destinations as needed to support programs on site

Required Skills

- Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in the event planning and hospitality industries, including:
- 7+ years’ operational management in banquet or event planning
- Arranging meetings and events for clients / groups
- Experience in managing and coaching associates / coworkers
- Able to travel extensively (50% of the time)
Nice to Have
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification (strongly preferred)
Remote Work Requirements
- High-speed internet access at home that you are able to connect to via Ethernet or landline
