Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Prototyping Specialist. This is an entry-level position, ideal for a science or engineering student, or anyone interested in hands-on laboratory and fabrication work. No prior professional experience is required—training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fabrication and assembly of lab-on-a-chip cartridges
  • Perform precise, detail-oriented tasks in a laboratory and workshop environment
  • Operate fabrication equipment, including laser cutter, plotter cutter, 3D printer, pneumatic press, and more
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers to support product development
  • Support inventory management and organization of fabrication materials
  • Adhere to lab safety and quality standards at all times

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college students studying science or engineering disciplines preferred
  • Must be able to work on-site in Newark, NJ daily
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carefully follow instructions
  • Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks with precision
  • Comfort working with small components, tools, and lab equipment
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn operation of new equipment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • College student studying science or engineering discipline
