Description
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking an Archives Specialist to serve on a potential contract supporting the US Coast Guard Office of Governmental Public Affairs (CG-092).
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Document preservation.
- Developing finding aids to enhance access to records collections.
- Initial processing of records accessions/donations.
- Strengthening intellectual control over records collection.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with executive level personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret Government policy, regulations, and directives, and to apply those interpretations when directed by the client.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Work Environment:
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
- Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Travel:
- 0-10% / Minimal travel.

Basic Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Library/Informational Studies with Archival Studies focus
- Two (2) years of experience in archiving.
- Ability to read and interpret Government policy, regulations, and directives, and to apply those interpretations when directed by the client.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including fingerprinting.
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. CeLeen will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting the US Coast Guard or other US Military or Federal Museum/archival department.
