Local Leader - Sales, Event Planning, Networking

Business Leaders Network (BLN) is a national initiative connecting small-business owners with affluent residential communities through in-person events, digital platforms, and print marketing. Our mission is to foster meaningful connections, servant leadership, and community growth.

As a BLN Local Leader, you will be the face of BLN in your assigned community. You’ll build and sustain a vibrant local network by engaging residents, supporting business sponsors, and hosting events that bring people together. This is a commission-based opportunity ideal for entrepreneurial leaders with a passion for community building, networking, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement – Manage a private online community for residents, sharing updates, event notices, and sponsor spotlights at least three times per week.
  • Sponsor Relations – Interview and feature local business sponsors weekly through video or written Q&A to highlight their expertise and offerings.
  • Resident Events – Host one resident-only gathering each month (e.g., coffee socials, backyard movie nights, potlucks) to foster authentic connections.
  • Business Networking Events – Organize one monthly sponsor event such as a networking mixer, lunch-and-learn, or workshop to reinforce sponsor ROI.
  • Quarterly Block Parties – Produce large-scale events each quarter, uniting residents and sponsors with entertainment, vendor booths, and family-friendly activities.
  • Collaboration & Reporting – Participate in weekly check-ins with your Regional Manager, track KPIs, and apply feedback to strengthen community impact.
  • Training & Development – Attend two annual BLN National Leadership Training sessions (virtual or in-person) and implement new strategies locally.

Launch & Growth Expectations

  • Achieve $10,000 in gross sales within the first 90 days (at least $5,000 from 12-month business memberships).
  • Successfully ramp up resident and sponsor engagement to establish a thriving community presence.

Compensation

  • Commission-based: Earn 45% of collected revenue from local memberships and sponsorships.
  • Income potential exceeds $100,000 annually, based on performance and community growth.
  • Additional expenses for events and marketing are funded through a dedicated budget pool, with unused funds returned as a year-end bonus.

Ideal Candidate

  • A natural connector with strong emotional intelligence and a passion for serving others.
  • Experienced in sales, event planning, community engagement, or small-business development.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, networking, and relationship building.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline to work independently and drive results.
  • Excited by a commission-based role with significant earning potential.

As a Local Leader, you’ll have the unique opportunity to:

  • Build a business within your own community.
  • Create meaningful impact by connecting residents with trusted local businesses.
  • Receive training, mentorship, and national brand support while maintaining entrepreneurial independence.
