Recruiting Assistant
B.L. Harbert International is seeking a Recruiting Assistant for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Recruiting Assistant will work closely with the Recruiters to support the Recruiting department and Hiring Managers. A high-level of confidentiality is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Input application information into applicant database
- Maintain applicant database and pull information as requested
- Create and manage phone, email and social media correspondence to candidates
- Create records to maintain applicant interactions and ensure updated applicant resumes remain on file
- Contact candidates to request information such as updated resumes, updated contact information and availability
- Share candidate information for review to appropriate managers
- Partner with Security Department to verify status of Security Clearance for candidates
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Recruiting
- Social Media knowledge in advertising and sourcing applicants
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferences:
- Construction industry experience
- Basic knowledge of HR rules and regulations in regards to Federal and State Compliance
Physical Demands:
To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:
- Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
- Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
- Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required
- Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills
- Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment
