Akron Community Internship: Web Management Intern for Black Chamber of Commerce Summit County
The Summit County Black Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve as a hub for Black-owned businesses to connect, grow, and thrive. We are committed to developing, empowering, and promoting Black entrepreneurs by providing access to resources, advocacy, and a unified voice for the success of our members.
Hours: 100 hours during the internship.
Date: Fall 2025 (exact dates TBD to accommodate student schedules)
Location: Hybrid/Remote
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to learn the Wild Apricot CRM system software that manages the BCCSC members, contacts, events and Website.
- Update website content including event pages, member directories, contact listing, and newsletter.
- Assist with the development of blog page on website.
- Ensure consistency in branding, layout, and accessibility.
- Help improve site navigation, structure, and visual appeal using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress, Wix, or similar).
- Track web traffic analytics and suggest content improvements.
- Create and schedule engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn using scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite or Buffer).
- Design graphics and promotional materials using Canva, AI, and other software.
- Monitor social engagement and respond to comments and messages.
- Promote upcoming events, campaigns, and member spotlights.
- Maintain a shared digital archive of marketing and promotional materials.
