Akron Community Internship: Re-entry Programming Intern at South Street Ministries
South Street’s mission statement is to equip and inspire the restoration of community, economy, and faith. South Street’s vision statement is to empower authentic community voice, leadership, and transformation within the South Akron, Summit Lake, and Reentry communities. Thus, South Street Ministries reaches across racial, economic, cultural, and religious barriers for the enrichment of the community. This mission is best quantified through South Street’s programmatic efforts.
Hours: 100 hours during the internship.

Position Overview
South Street Ministries is seeking an intern to help implement their strategic plan by assisting with their Re-entry programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Reentry Meeting Facilitation (Tuesdays 3 - 6 pm)
- Assist with resource navigation, data entry and reporting, research and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Preferred major in sociology, psychology, political science, criminal justice or similar
- Public Speaking and Communication skills
- Interest in nonprofits, leadership development, & civic engagement
