Internship in Insurance and Reinsurance

MS Transverse is looking for interns who will provide assistance to our Actuarial, Business Development, Reinsurance, Operations, Asset Management, Regulatory & Compliance, Human Resources or Finance/Accounting teams in the form of research, data analysis and report writing.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone to learn multiple aspects of insurance and reinsurance in a startup environment.
Here is what to expect from this internship:
· Research and document portfolios of potential distribution/reinsurance business partners
· Research the overall distribution market to understand how the potential partners fit into the space
· Gain an understanding of MS Transverse’s overall business plan and assist with business development plans/strategy
· Build business development analysis tools for management reporting
· Update and evaluate trend information and other financials to present in weekly and monthly reporting
· Contribute to the production and analysis of financial and management reports
· Complete ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
· Assist with record retention
· Perform other duties as assigned
This is what you bring:
· Junior or senior in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Accounting or Business Administration
· Basic knowledge of the insurance industry
· Thorough understanding of how to work in a business/corporate environment
· Experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
· Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and communication skills
· Positive teamwork and interpersonal skills
