Actuarial Analyst Intern
USAA is seeking a motivated and analytical student to join our actuarial team as a Summer Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain first-hand experience in USAA’s P&C industry and work alongside experienced actuaries. As an Actuarial Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting Pricing, Modeling, Reserving, and Risk Assessment, contributing to informed decision-making within our company.

The internship is based at USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, TX.
What you'll do:
Our Actuarial Interns, work under direct supervision and following risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:
- Coordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.
- Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
- Utilizes actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
- Enters data and tables, runs models, and generates reports.
What you need to have:
To qualify, you must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2026 internship will start on May 27, 2026 and last through August 7, 2026.
- Graduation date cannot be prior to August 7, 2026
- Actuarial, business, and/or analytical experience and accountability for simple to moderately complex tasks and/or projects required.
- Foundational and conceptual knowledge of the function/subject area and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required.
- Foundational level of knowledge in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required.
What sets you apart:
- Pursuing a degree with a concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance
- Graduation date between August 2026 and July 2028
- Sitting or have completed 1 or more actuarial exams
- Foundational knowledge of SQL, VBA, SAS, R, and/or Python
- Experience communicating/presenting technical topics to a broad audience
- Demonstrated leadership ability through employment, extra-curricular activities, community service, or other involvement
- Prior quantitative internship or related employment
