Akron Community Internship: Videographer/Photographer Intern at Black Culture Candles
Black Culture Candles is a luxury brand celebrating Black joy through the art of scent and universal experiences. Our mission is to take you on a scent journey through our collective memories and shine a light on the joyful experiences that connect us all. We’re committed to showcasing the rich and vibrant history of Black culture, emphasizing joy, community, and connection.
Hours: 100 hours during the internship.
Date: Full Academic Year 2025-2026 (exact dates TBD to accommodate student schedules)

Position Overview
We’re seeking a creative, innovative videographer to help us produce a signature Scent Journey video for our brand relaunch. The video should reflect the soul, artistry, and emotional connection of our brand and products. If you also have skills in product photography, there’s an opportunity for additional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction for a short brand video (conceptualize, shoot and edit).
- Capture the brand's emotion and story through visual storytelling.
- Showcase product in an artistic and compelling way.
- Collaborate closely with the founder to align the vision and execution.
- (Optional) Shoot product photography for website and social media use.
- Contribute to a brand with a focus on artistry and emotional impact.
- Help us bring scent, story and culture to life on camera.
