Overview
Left Field is a new dating app that feels like an introduction from a friend. We are looking for a Videographer/Editor intern to shape our social presence through short-form video content. You will work closely with the founders to capture, edit, and produce content for TikTok and Instagram that feels fresh, polished, and relevant to Gen Z.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation and Editing
Film and edit 5–7 short-form videos per week across our brand and founder accounts
Identify trending audios, aesthetics, and formats that resonate with Gen Z, especially in NYC
Edit using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or TikTok native editing
Develop repeatable video formats and templates we can use long-term
Shoots and Visual Direction
Assist in planning and capturing content at events, activations, and casual shoots
Direct small-scale shoots with founders or talent to bring ideas to life
Ensure visual consistency in style, lighting, and aesthetic across platforms
Instagram and TikTok Support
Contribute to refreshing our Instagram aesthetic with video-first content including Reels and stories
Create strong visual assets such as Reel covers, story animations, and short-form teasers
Work with the founders to align video content with overall brand voice and strategy
What We’re Looking For
Gen Z with strong video instincts and a sharp aesthetic eye
Proficiency in short-form video editing using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or TikTok/Instagram native tools
Bonus: experience with motion graphics or light animation (After Effects, Canva, etc.)
Up to date on TikTok culture, meme formats, and editing trends
Creative, organized, and self-starting. We will bounce ideas with you, but you should be ready to run with them
Details
Part-time internship, minimum 10 hours per week
Hybrid, with occasional in-person collaborations in NYC
Stipend available depending on project scope
