Internship Description: Immigrant Justice Interns
Position Overview: The Ashrei Foundation seeks 2-3 part-time (5-10 hours per week per person) Immigrant Justice Interns to serve during the 2025-2026 academic year. Each position will work to sustain existing projects in Ashrei’s Immigrant Justice program areas, including: Rapid Response Hotline, Immigrant Family Emergency Response Fund, and Refugee Resettlement. The position will be mostly remote; in-person opportunities may be available for specific purposes. Positions may be available as paid internships; compensation commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of each Immigrant Justice Intern will be designed to fit an applicant’s unique skillset and may include but will not be limited to some of the following:
- Volunteer management & coordination
- Volunteer training & recruitment
- Client & community outreach
- Database management
- Program administrative support
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Strong follow through skills
- Sensitivity and cultural competency in supporting marginalized individuals and families, including immigrants in various legal statuses and racially oppressed communities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Voice, Drive) required
- Spanish fluency is preferred for all and required for at least one of these internships
