The Sector Specialist Origination Team manages and strengthens Millennium’s engagement with the management and investor relations teams of public companies.  This team serves as a vital resource for Portfolio Management (PM) teams, enhancing their investment processes and analytical work. Interns will gather and analyze company and market data and information, attend company, expert, sell-side and investment team meetings and discussions and prepare analysis for companies and investment teams. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior Sector Specialists, including but not limited to:
    • Gathering and analyzing company and market data and information
    • Attending company, expert, sell-side and investment team meetings and discussions
    • Producing and delivering notes and other content from meetings in a timely manner
    • Preparing ad-hoc projects and analysis for companies and investment teams
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of PSEM, including the Corporate Access Team in the execution of corporate access activity, including in-house meetings, company visits, conferences and conference calls
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions to document and enhance the management of the originated corporate access interactions
  • Create an end of internship final project based on your work to be presented to the team

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • High performing students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 interested in a future career at a top-tier investment firm
  • Studying towards a degree with a focus on Finance, Business, or Economics with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above
  • Highly motivated with initiative and strong enthusiasm for investment analysis
  • Excellent analytical, superior communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic; effective both independently and as a collaborative team player
  • Detail-oriented, able to multitask and take direction
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; skilled in data manipulation
  • Able to think critically and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Intellectually curious and creative, seeking ongoing challenges and continuous improvement

 

The estimated annual salary for this position is $110,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
