About The Position
This role is responsible for completing fair and accurate dispositions of pending total loss claims through evaluation, settlement, or recommendation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates total loss appraisals to effect settlement within authority
- Uses available resources to determine accurate actual cash value
- Negotiates vehicle value with 1st and 3rd parties and their representatives
- Controls salvage costs and resolution
- Works with manager to resolve difficult situations
- Develops and maintains claim files that document all activities
- Evaluates and settles 1st and 3rd party substitute transportation claims
- Performs other activities as required
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree
- Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- 1+ years of property claims experience is preferred, but not required
- Total loss negotiation experience is preferred
