The Business.

Graduate Program Overview: 

The CRB Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a non-rotational two-year-program that provides the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base, varied skills, and diverse network. This program is designed to set you up with a holistic view of CRB with hands-on experience, insight, and opportunities to make an impact and shape your own career.  

GDP participants will be immersed in a 1-week-in-person orientation followed by a robust onboarding training learning about various functions within CRB. Our program is designed to provide graduates with a well-rounded understanding of the industry while having the opportunity to deep dive within their respective business areas. 

R&A ERC Overview 

Colleagues working in Risk & Analytics’ Enterprise Risk Consulting (ERC) team provide our clients with a smarter way to analyze risk, using quantification, structured approaches, risk analytics tools and subject matter expertise to improve client outcomes. With our expertise and tailored solutions, we improve complex enterprise risk management by identifying, quantifying and mitigating unpredictable, interconnected risks. 

We currently work with some of the world’s largest and complex organizations to assess and manage their strategic risks. We also work with smaller organizations early in their ERM journeys. We work across many industries including Food & Beverage, Professional Services, Transportation / Logistics, Energy, Construction, Manufacturing and others. Work within ERC is predominantly project-based, and you will often be involved in multiple projects simultaneously. Our work is often collaborative, providing exposure to a range of teams within the division.

Responsibilities: 

Delivery and project management of a range of Enterprise Risk Consulting client projects including but not limited to: 

  • Enterprise Risk Maturity Assessments 
  • Evaluate the client’s ERM maturity through benchmarking against ERM framework and characteristics of good practice  
  • Identify and determine improvement opportunities designed to support future client goals and objectives  
  • Provide recommended actions to exploit improvement opportunities; develop implementation Road Map of next steps 
  • Enterprise Risk Assessments 
  • Identification and prioritization of enterprise risks including creation of Risk Universes and Risk Registers 
  • Contemplation of impact, likelihood, management preparedness, underlying vulnerabilities, triggers and current controls 
  • Enterprise Risk Control, Mitigation and Monitoring 
  • Identification of mitigation and transfer options 
  • Decision support for mitigation strategies contemplating cost, resource requirement, and risk reduction benefit 
  • Determination of Key Risk Indicators / Key Performance Indicators 
  • Risk Strategy, Appetite & Tolerance 
  • Align risk strategy with organizational strategy and objective setting 
  • Set meaningful impact scales with explicit connection to financial and strategic priorities 
  • Use of Risk Tolerance Clarified, WTW’s proprietary financial analysis tool 
  • Risk Governance consultancy 
  • Risk reporting structures, policies and committee charters 
  • Best practices for effective risk governance and strong risk culture, including education materials and communication plans 
  • Strategic Risk Quantification 
  • Quantification of risk and ROI of risk controls, using WTW modeling tools and working in partnership with cat/climate modelers, actuaries, statisticians, and finance experts 
  • ESG Risk Assessments 
  • Climate Transition Risk Assessments 
  • Proposition development: 
  • Contribute to the development of materials, tools and methodologies to support our transition and enterprise risk proposition for use in client meetings, engagements, events, and broader thought leadership. 

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications: 

  • Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship 
  • Date of Graduation between May 2025 – May 2026 
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA  
  • Preferred Majors: Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems; Majors with a strong quantitative background considered 
  • Passed one or more actuarial exams preferred, but not required 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills 
  • Strong technical skills are preferred 

Compensation: 

The hourly rate being offered for this role is $36.00hr – $40.00hr USD. This role is also eligible for overtime.
