Graduate Program Overview
The CRB Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a non-rotational two-year-program that provides the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base, varied skills, and diverse network. This program is designed to set you up with a holistic view of CRB with hands-on experience, insight, and opportunities to make an impact and shape your own career.
GDP participants will be immersed in a 1-week-in-person orientation followed by a robust onboarding training learning about various functions within CRB. Our program is designed to provide graduates with a well-rounded understanding of the industry while having the opportunity to deep dive within their respective business area.
Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions (ART Solutions) Overview:
The Alternative Risk Transfer practice creates one-of-a-kind risk transfer solutions that address the needs of our large and sophisticated clients. These tailor-made risk financing solutions are a key response to some of the limitations of traditional insurance markets which can include
- Accessing additional or complimentary capacity
- Creating certainty of cost and coverage over a multiyear term
- Facilitating risk financing while protecting the P&L / Balance Sheet
- Creating solutions when the traditional market is unavailable or deemed inefficient
Range of activity: parametric insurance, multi-year monoline or multiline structured programs, multiline captive stop loss programs, and loss portfolio transfers.
Our staff have deep Alternative Risk expertise and provide a range of services from product/market education, analytically driven program evaluation, through to cradle-to-grave program placement. While our placements may be thematically similar, no two placements are the same. That said common tasks may include preparing presentation and marketing materials, client and risk research, submission creation using Broking Platform, liaising with markets, analyzing exposures using Willis proprietary modelling tools, negotiating quotations, quote evaluation, and providing advice to clients.
As a key member of the Alternative Risk Transfer Solutions team, you will contribute to all aspects of the alternative risk placement cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Begin your understanding of core insurance principles and brokerage concepts
- developing client and prospect presentations to secure new, and build on existing, relationships including renewal strategy meetings, final program proposals and RFPs
- Gathering exposure and loss information to facilitate submission creation and analytics
- Prepare input materials and run our proprietary tools to facilitate program design
- Assist in the
- creation of underwriting submissions with supporting materials
- review quotes against specifications and develop side-by side comparisons
- review program binders for accuracy, check policies
- preparation of program proposals.
- Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to.
- Record and maintain all information accurately on the appropriate systems, including initial introduction to and utilization of Broking Platform.
- Obtain the required insurance license within ninety (90) days of your date of hire (as such date is recorded in the Company’s business records).
- Develop a deep understanding of alternative risk transfer solutions
- Work with key account leaders to build awareness of the WTW ART strategy and capabilities
- Contribute to the sales strategy and approach to systemic lead generation in key regions and industries.
- Assist in the creation, harmonization and distribution of sales collateral.
- Assist in the development of thought leadership through the development and publishing of research material and through presentations and speaking engagements
- Support the successful renewal of existing alternative risk placements by
- You must also obtain and maintain an active surplus lines license for your resident state within 120 days of either: (a) your date of hire, if you already hold a resident state insurance license upon your date of hire; or (b) within 120 days of obtaining your resident state insurance license, if you do not already hold a resident state insurance license upon your date of hire
Qualifications
Education and Qualifications:
- Able to work legally in the United States indefinitely and without Visa sponsorship
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate to advance Excel skills
- Risk management, Finance and/or Economics preferred
- Date of Graduation between May 2025 – May 2026

- Basic understanding of the insurance market and risk concepts
- Strong interpersonal communication skills as well as strong time and task management skills
- Ability to take directions, receive constructive feedback and deliver accurate work product
- Ability to interface with customers and collaborate internally with teammates to serve customers

Compensation:
The hourly rate being offered for this role is $36.00hr – $40.00/hr. USD. This role is also eligible for overtime.
