Student Director

Soma City Church is in an exciting season of growth—doubling in size over the last two years as people are getting baptized, inviting friends, and growing in their friendship with Jesus. We believe our student ministry is the next great area of opportunity, and we’re looking for a Student Director who can unleash its full potential. This role calls for a leader who believes students are capable of incredible things, who can raise up and equip a team of leaders, and who can use systems and structures to create a ministry centered on relationships with students, families, and the city.

A strong candidate for this position is someone who
Has a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus
Has clearly evident relational skills, is enthusiastic, and high energy
Understands the value of systems and processes for effective ministry and implements
them accordingly
Is comfortable working with students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds and
experiences
Has a hunger and a desire to grow and learn

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, develop, and train a team of storytellers passionate about serving students.
Partner with parents to keep families informed, engaged, and growing in their faith
together.
Create remarkable environments for students to connect with each other, their leaders,
and grow in their faith.
Provide opportunities within Soma City and in the community for students to put their
faith in action and practically serve others.
Create and execute a holistic plan for helping students grow in their faith from 6th grade
through 12th grade
