Job Overview
Role & Responsibilities:
- Work with suppliers for required, timely responses to customer complaints. Gather information required and draft customer responses for review by management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of non-conformances and corrective actions taken.
- Manage process to collect required information and documentation from new suppliers for review and ultimate approval or recommendation.
- Manage product sensory panels and reporting.
- Maintain supplier files with required annual updates.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and inspection data. Generate reports to provide insights to stakeholders on quality performance, trends, and areas for improvement via annual supplier review and scorecard.
- Support cross-functional teams with on-site support for new production and oversight deemed necessary.
- Travel may be required up to 10-15% o the time.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures, GMPs, and food safety regulations including FDA and USDA distinctions and guidelines.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate quality-related issues
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, Food Industry Management or a related field.
- Experience working in quality assurance or quality control roles in food or beverage manufacturing a plus.
