
GSRP Director/Lead Teacher

The Gaming and Technology Academy of Saginaw (GATA) is a brand-new PreK-8 public charter school and we are planning to start up in fall 2026.
We are excited about this new educational facility and seeking a GSRP Director/Lead Teacher to help build and launch a dynamic, student-centered learning environment rooted in innovation, gaming, and technology.
You must be able to drive to this location daily or relocated to Saginaw, MI.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid State of Michigan Teacher Certification with a ZS or ZA endorsement
- Master's degree in early childhood education or child development or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful work experience in an early childhood setting.
- Creates a classroom learning environment that is aligned with all program requirements.
- Understand licensing and GSRP requirements.
- Communicate with parents and other team members about student progress and plan for future instruction.
- Maintain accurate records to document student performance to include attendance, grades, and behavior.
- Integrate technology into teaching and professional activities.
- Make sure enrollment requirements are met.
- Collaborate with the teaching team and coaches.
- Create and maintain effective communication with parents.
- Work on curriculum development in addition to implementation.
- Integrate technology into the instructional program and demonstrate professional use.
- Maintain up-to-date information per licensing, ensure all documents are kept and remain current.
- Keeps current on licensing rules, attends meetings as needed, consistently referring to the licensing handbook and GSRP Implementation Manual.
- Addresses concerns with parents and inform families of licensing rules/guidelines.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain clearance by Child Care Licensing and GSRP for Director position.
- Maintains effective and appropriate communication with building staff, program staff, and program administration as needed and required.
- Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective team member.
- Evidence of accurate record keeping and data collection skills.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills.
