Behavior Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Premier ABA Consulting LLC is looking for a Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavioral therapy to children with autism and support to their families. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) based treatment programs as directed the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst/Case Supervisor. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma and some college experience.
  • Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) or working towards receiving your                   certification with guidance provided by BCBA.
  • Willingness and desire to work with children with autism.
  • Compliance with company values, policies and ethical code.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes an accreditation board approved RBT course and maintains certification.
  • Assists the BCBA in implementing behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
  • Collects data on all programming and writes progress notes.
  • Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel.
  • Participates and presents in-service programs as assigned.
  • Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
  • Participates in patient care planning.
  • Instructs patients and family/significant others in home programs and protocols, under BCBA supervision.
  • Attends all staff meetings and patient care conferences.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to the office.
  • Adhere to and follow in-home programs, assisting with parent education (under BCBA guidance) while maintaining adequate documentation in medical record notes.
  • Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Immediately reports to BCBA/ therapy supervisor any patient incidents/variances or complaints.
  • Adheres to agency standards and consistently interprets and accurately performs all assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintains acceptable attendance status, per agency policy.
  • Appearance is always within company standards; clean and well groomed.
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills through daily documentation.
  • Maintains clean and neat work environment.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking and decision making.
  • Maintains current BLS certification.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

In-person at office location.

 

JOB RELATIONSHIP

Supervised by Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Therapy Supervisor.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history background check

Satisfactory reference check

 

SALARY RANGE

$19-$21 an hour
