What’s the role

The Campus Life Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a vibrant, engaging school community by coordinating student and family events, supporting student recruitment initiatives, and providing operational support. This position serves as a key liaison between school administration, families, and the broader community to foster strong relationships and enhance the overall campus experience for K-4 students and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning and Coordination 

  • Student Events: Plan, organize, and execute age-appropriate student activities, celebrations, and educational events for K-4 students including field trips, holiday celebrations, cultural events, academic showcases, and seasonal activities
  • Family Engagement Events: Coordinate family nights, prospective and current parent workshops, back-to-school events, graduation ceremonies, and community building activities designed to strengthen home-school partnerships
  • Logistics Management: Manage all event logistics including venue setup, vendor coordination, volunteer recruitment, supply procurement, and post-event evaluation
  • Budget Management: Work within allocated budgets for events, track expenses, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Marketing and Promotion: Create promotional materials, communicate event details to families through multiple channels, and maintain event calendars
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Operations Support 

  • Administrative Functions: Support day-to-day operations including front desk coverage, phone system management, and visitor coordination
  • Student Services: Assist with student enrollment, document tracking, attendance tracking, and family communication
  • Compliance Support: Help maintain records for Title I Parent and Family Engagement requirements and other regulatory compliance
  • Technology Systems: Utilize student information systems, communication platforms, and data management tools
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with after-school program providers, food service vendors, and other external partners
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Family and Community Relations 

  • Family Communication: Serve as a point of contact for families regarding non-academic concerns and general school information
  • Cultural Responsiveness: Support multilingual families and ensure culturally inclusive programming
  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage parent volunteers for school events and activities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Who you are 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree with relevant experience considered
  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, customer service, or education-related roles
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and student information systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience working in K-4 educational settings or charter schools
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders including students, families, staff, and community members
  • Creative and resourcefulness problem-solver in addressing challenges and developing solutions
  • Meticulous planner with attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic school environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA
