Position Type  :      Full Time- Contract      

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our on-site team in Southfield, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing custom software applications and will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Conduct functional, integration, regression, and system testing
Collaborate with developers and analysts to clarify requirements
Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
Participate in requirement and design reviews
Suggest improvements to testing processes and tools
Ensure software meets specifications before release

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Analyst
Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC
Experience testing custom-developed applications
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently on-site in Southfield, MI

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with automated testing tools
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience testing software developed in .NET and C# environments
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript, etc.)

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
On-site only (no remote work)
